Pretty Grim x Qu’eef
‘My whole world is coming apart’ ft Samir Saunders & Black Peppa
'My Whole World Is Coming Apart’, is an intense, cathartic, joyful rage of sonic frequencies paired with live visuals and poetry from Samiir Saunders ‘Poetober’ series and live performance from dancer/drag queen Black Peppa. Channeling their love for raucous live gigs, electronic music, queer culture and immersive performance art, Pretty Grim collaborated with QUEEF; a queer experimental music & art platform to produce the visual aspects of the piece and find their two other collaborators.
Pretty Grim are Kaila, Anna & Meesha. Based in Birmingham they are a supergroup made up of members of Dorcha, Youth Man, Blue Ruth & Limpid as well as engaging in cross-discipline art projects Queef, Supersonic Festival & Shout Festival.
Iceboy Violet is a producer/vocalist channeling the energy, emotionality and resistance of Grime music, giving voice to anxieties, anger and defiance as personal and collective catharsis. Fat Out have been admiring them from afar for quite a while now. Their grimey sounds twisted into lush and warped ambient melodies is the soundtrack we all need after months locked down.
Hesska on the decks.
