The 2023 FOF was a very magical one. We opened the festival with an incredible sold out concert at Peel Hall with ​a collaboration between the BBC Philharmonic and artists from the Erased Tapes label. Hatis Noit, Penguin Cafe, Douglas Dare & Rival Consoles, performed in the round for a one off experience recorded live for BBC Radio 3's Unclassified, hosted by Elizabeth Alker.

The rest of the weekend was back at Islington Mill with stages popping up all over the building. Ee had the first live performances on the newly built balconies looking over the courtyard, intimate shows in the iconic Paramatta, an installation in new islington mill and of course back to back band between Partisan and Mirage bar.
